Questo dipinto di grandi dimensioni \u00e8 l’ultimo di una serie di dipinti realizzati su commissione. Sul retro del quadro \u00e8 ancora visibile la prima versione dell’opera. In un’ambientazione che richiama un’interno domestico due donne sembrano intente in un piacevole intrattenimento. La figura principale \u00e8 colta in un attimo di disinvoltura, le gambe sollevate sul tavolo, mani gesticolanti e volto reclinato, sorridente. Al suo fianco, in piedi, una seconda figura non del tutto visibile e tuttavia non meno importante, pi\u00f9 rigida ma complice del momento gioioso.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The work is pervaded by a strong symbolism of an almost neoclassical flavor which is expressed mostly in\nthe poses and gestures of the two subjects, woman and man, in the center, in silent dialogue: as they stand\nside by side she\u2019s barely naked, he\u2019s heavily cloaked, he holds her hand meanwhile catching her eyes. The\ncolour intensity, here particularly dominant, is a recurring element which was already present in other\npaintings: the blue of the fabrics and the red of the branch strongly contrast with the darkness of the starry\nbackground.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
